Today I'm going to make a painting and show the stages that I went through from raw cotton duck to finished product. Hopefully we can finish it tonight but I'm getting a late start so probably tomorrow we will have the finished product. The painting is going to be in the style pictured above.
The first thing to do is stretch out some unprimed cotton duck on to some supports which in this case are 54in. x 48in.
Next up is to prime the canvas white with gesso.
Add any subliminal messages at this point...
After about three coats of gesso the canvas is ready for painting. Now is the time to begin planning out the image using sketches and your imagination.
